The New Tax Bill

Well, for better or worse, the Republicans in Congress have all but passed the largest tax reform bill in the history of the United States. Not surprisingly, they did so without any Democrat support, and amid several of the top Liberal obstructionist screaming that the sky is falling.

The Republicans claim that the bill will lower taxes for not only corporations, but a majority of tax payers (especially the middle class). They say that this will create jobs and stimulate the economy by promoting growth.

The Democrats believe that it's just a give away to the wealthy and greedy corporations. It's their view that the new bill will actually hurt the middle class and ruin our economy.

To be honest, it's too early to say for certain who's right or wrong. The bill is less than 24 hours old, and won't really go into effect until February.

However, we're not going into this completely blind. There are some historical evidences as to how smaller but similar bills have acted in the past. Both Presidents Kennedy and Reagan sign smaller versions of this bill, and both times, the economy boomed. Taxes on the lower and middle classes fell, while the job markets soared.

Already, you have companies like Fed-ex announcing that, if Trump signs this into law, they are going to hire tens of thousands of new workers. Other, overseas companies, have reported an interest in setting up operations in the U.S. So, it would seem to me that it's already starting to work on some level.

But, to be "fair" (I have always hated that word), the proof is really in the pudding. Give it until around the November mid-term elections. By then, the full effect should have already been felt. If the economy is strong and expanding, the Republicans will win. If, on the other hand, it's stagnant and collapsing, the Democrats were right and will take control of Congress. It's that simple.

The only snag in this theory I can see, is the removal of the SALT portion of the tax act. This is the part of the tax code that allows people in higher tax States (typically Democrat controlled) to deduct their state and local taxes from their federal. Personally, I find SALT to be "unfair" (It's not a factory worker in Oklahoma's fault a stock broker in New York chose a governor that raises taxes). But, the SALT States are also the most populated, and so will have very loud complaints.

Other than that, I'm willing to bet that, come November,  most of the Democrats are going to regret betting against not only President Trump, but the American people as well. Just as long as the Republicans don't do anything too stupid in other areas, they should be able to pull off another major win in getting reelected.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to one and all!

This year, I think it would be a good idea to remember exactly what this season is supposed to mean...

Of course, Christmas is the time when Christians celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. But, the holiday actually means so much more than that, and can hold special meanings for nonbelievers as well.

If you don't believe in Jesus as the True Son of God, that is your right and choice. (It's also between you and God, and you'll have to square with that someday.) You Don't have to believe in Christ, to see and recognize the universal truth and wisdom in His teachings. I mean what kind of sociopathic monster doesn't agree with peace on earth, or treating others the way you want to be treated? Despite all the ideological rhetoric and nonsense from our media and politicians, who seriously doesn't want to help the poor?

As a former Athiest, I can tell you that, wishing someone a Merry Christmas doesn't hurt anyone physically, morally, or financially. It doesn't threaten anyone's core beliefs (unless, your beliefs weren't that solid and strong to begin with). It's not meant to offend or insult, but merely wish you health and prosperity in a season the believers hold most sacred. If anything, you should feel honored that someone cares enough to think of you, and wish you well. (I feel the same when someone wishes me a Happy Hanukkah, or a Happy Kwanzaa.)

In any case, even when I didn't believe, I knew better than to get insulted by the blessing. At the very least, I looked at it as no skin off of my nose. Someone wished me happiness during a holiday I didn't believe in... so what? It's not like they threatened to burn my house, kill my family or eat my dog.

So, again I say... Merry Christmas to all. And, if that offends you... grow the hell up.

Teaching a Pig to Whistle

Apparently, I will never learn...

Yesterday, I was publicly confronted by a rabid, Left-wing Regressive at a laundromat for thanking a veteran for his service. "Confronted" may actually not be a strong enough word here, since it very nearly came to blows at one point.

The man immediately identified himself as a Liberal, and informed me that he didn't believe that we owed our veterans any sort of thanks for serving. From there, the conversation quickly devolved into an angry tirade on conservatism and how the Right is "destroying" America. His semi-coherent, self-agrandizing rants ranged from the economy, to abolishing the Second Amendment, to how Mitt Romney was actually responsible for Bengahzi instead of Hillary Clinton (I know, I laughed so hard I nearly fainted at that one). Not surprisingly, he was completely incapable of going two minutes without using personal attacks and insults against President Trump and anyone currently supporting him.

The man claimed to be a recently retired environmental engineer, yet had no idea who Cass Sunstien is (Obama's environmental czar, and a former head of the EPA). He instantly and immediately discredited any and all "Right-wing news" and fact-checking media sources, while singing the praises of such historically inaccurate sources as MSNBC and the Huffington Post. On at least two different occasions, he asserted that people who listen/watch Conservative news media are grossly misinformed and "getting the whole picture", yet couldn't even tell me who Peter Strzok is. (He's the pro-Hillary FBI agent that "investigated" Clinton's email/server scandal, then was assigned to the Mueller Russian Collusion Delusion before being removed... For any Liberals out there who are so much "better informed").

Through most of this confrontation, I could hardly get a word in edge-wise, and was not only cussed, but frequently shouted down (in true Regressive freedom of speech fashion). However, two positive things did come from the encounter...

One, I did manage to get him to admit that the Left isn't truly interested in gun control, like they claim. In the heat of his argument, when I pressed the question of what new gun law would actually work to prevent mass shootings, he yelled angrily, "completely banning them altogether!"

And two... He managed to reaffirm my original assertion that you can't truly argue with a Left-wing Regressive. If someone creates their own facts and reality, it's pointless to try and change their mind, or present actual evidence.

All in all, it reminded me of a quote from a famous science fiction author, Robert Heinlein... "Never try to teach a pig to whistle. You'll only end up looking foolish, and you'll frustrate the hell out of the pig."

A World Gone Mad

Warning: It's time for yet another healthy dose of truth and sanity. No punches will be pulled, and Regressive, Liberal Snowflakes will be offended. Tears may result. Reader discretion is advised...

Holy crap! What a strange and messed up couple of weeks this has been!

First, we have some Liberal monster shooting up a small town Baptist Church in Texas. Followed immediately by all the hopelessly brain dead screaming (as usual) for gun control and "extreme vetting" for gun purchases. Let's just ignore the fact that there was nothing on the record to vet, because the Air Force and other authorities didn't even follow their own laws. (Yes, you're right... More laws to be ignored would have helped here!) How about we completely overlook the fact that, it was a legally carrying citizen that stopped the rampage, because the church was so remote that the cops couldn't get there in time. Stricter gun laws would have only prevented the hero of this story from having his gun to fight back.

Next, we have yet more evidence that not only is Hillary Clinton and the corrupt DNC behind the year long farce known as the "Russian Collusion Delusion", but they are guilty of everything they are accusing President Trump of. (Big surprise here... No investigation of this new evidence is being conducted.) Plus, according to former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile, Clinton really did rig the primaries against Bernie Sanders. (Something non-Democrats have been saying for over a year.) But, don't expect this to go anywhere. We all know that Hillary is so far above the law, she thinks she can sit in judgement of God Himself.

Then, there's a new wrinkle in the traitorous National Anthem protest... Now groups like the NAACP actually want the Anthem banned by Congress, claiming it's racist. The claim stems from the third stanza of the song, which mentions that neither "hireling (a paid soldier), nor slave" was safe during the fighting. This is racist? Just because they acknowledge the fact that there was slavery back in 1814, when the song was penned? Come on and grow a brain people! Deleting the Anthem, or removing Confederate statues, doesn't erase the fact that we once had slavery. In fact, we need to be reminded, so that we don't ever return to those dark times in our history.

Finally, we had the one year anniversary of the election a couple of days ago. To mark the occasion, a large group of Regressive Snowflakes gathered to howl at the moon. (I couldn't make this up if I tried!) The idiots actually stood out in the streets and screamed at the top of their lungs to show their discontent. Conservative pundit Marc Stein actually coined the phrase "Snowflake Werewolves" (which I love)!

Look, you may not like Trump, or agree with his policies. This is your right, and you're welcome to it. But, this whole idiotic Collusion/Never-Trump/Resist "movement" is not only dividing the country further, it's approaching dangerous and treasonous levels now. Trump met with Vladimir Putin a couple of days ago, to try and resolve the North Korean problem, and most of the press went crazy, acting as if the Collusion was being proven right there. Without Russia's help, the only way to deal with Kim Jong Un Will be to either send troops, or preemptively nuke the country. If the Regressives insist on interfering with talking to Putin, they are putting us all in danger. In my humble opinion, this is nothing short of treason. That's right, I said it... If you're still screaming "collusion" after a year of no evidence against the President (and a mountain of it against Clinton and the DNC) you're either criminally misinformed, or an outright traitor.

My "Undocumented" Opinion

I have a simple (and extremely important) question for anyone who feels they can answer openly and completely honestly...

If I were to break into your house (without hurting or killing anyone), and just made myself at home, would you let me stay? What if, I broke into your home, and left my underaged child? Would you just shrug it off, and allow them to remain, without calling the police?

Of course, the answer is "No", in both cases. Because, I seriously doubt any of you would provide all our food, medical and education, simply because we showed up and demanded it.

But, that's okay. I wouldn't expect you to. That would be insane, right?

So then, how is it any more sane, to allow people to sneak into our country (or sneak their kids in), and then ignore our own laws to help them? I don't know about any of you, but my windows and doors have locks on them for a reason, and I control who has access to my house. So, why can't we lock our borders, and control who comes and goes that way as well?

Is it racist that I would call the police on a stranger sitting in my living room, eating my food and watching my TV? Is it racist that I would demand that they be removed immediately?

Illegal aliens don't have Constitutional rights. It may sound cold and harsh, but it's the truth. They aren't supposed to be able to buy guns, drive a car or vote in any elections (no more than I could sneak into their country and do the same). They are not "undocumented" because they violated a law to get here (or "their parents did", for those who seriously want to split hairs). That's why their true legal term is "illegal".

Our Constitution has very distinct rules concerning immigration. It also has regulations against aiding someone in the commission of an illegal act. This is the law, plain and simple. We can't just ignore it when it no longer matches our personal views and desires.

Hell, I hate paying income tax. But, if I stop, I go to jail. That is how the law works. And, if I use the money that should have paid the taxes, to set up a fund for my kids, they take the money away from them as well. Just because I broke the law, doesn't mean my kids get to benefit from it.

To carry the point further... If I then run from the police for tax evasion, and go to my sister's house. She can be punished, if she knowingly hides me from the authorities. This is why "sanctuary cities" are illegal as well.

Deporting people isn't immortal, or racist. It's following the law (laws that every country on Earth have to protect their own nation).

Yes, I do feel bad about the people brought here as children, and the families torn apart by immigration. However, the law is in place for a reason, they are in violation, and need to be dealt with accordingly.

If anything, the so-called Dreamers' parents are to blame for their families being ripped apart and separated. They knew we had laws, knew there could be consequences for breaking them, and came here illegally anyway.

So, don't tell me I'm heartless, for having these families torn apart.  I'm not the one who knowingly and deliberately put my family through that in the first place.

I can understand wanting a better life for yourself and your family. But, you need to understand that there's a right way and a wrong way to get it. If you can't afford to come here legally, make changes to your own country. Be a positive force, that speaks out against corruption, and inspires others to demand liberty.

America is the greatest country on Earth, and almost everyone (except gang members, criminals and terrorist) are welcome. But, only if you play by all the rules, and do things the right way.

Another Clinton Scandal

Can someone please explain to me why Hillary Clinton isn't rotting away in a prison somewhere? I mean, this woman has broken more laws than Jesus saves sinners, and yet no one (including her enemies) ever lifts a finger to do anything about it. It's sickening.

At the time of writing this, a new investigation has revealed yet another Clinton scandal. It seems (for all her bogus claims of Trump colluding with the Russians) that while she was out Secretary of State, Moscow donated hundreds of millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation. Shortly there after, Secretary Clinton approved a deal to sell the Russians over twenty percent of our Uranium stores (look up the Uranium One Deal).

There are new emails (taken from Anthony Winner's laptop) that go into detail about Clinton's involvement in extortion, bribery and obstruction of justice (by trying to delete all evidence and cover it up) on the Uranium One Deal.

It isn't enough that she illegally kept sensitive, classified documents on an illegal, unsecured server; or that she then tries to hide, delete and bleach bit those documents. It isn't enough that she ignored or denied over six hundred security requests from Ambassador Chris Stevens, then ordered the Navy SEALS to stand down as four Americans (including Stevens) were murdered, or that she lied about the attack not being terrorism, but rather a protest over a YouTube video. It apparently doesn't matter that the Clinton Foundation (listed as a non-profit charity) only spends twenty percent of its income on charitable efforts, and is currently missing billions of dollars without any explanation.

I've said it before, and I'll gladly say it again... I would love to see a woman win the White House. I think it's long overdue.  But, not THIS woman.  She's a criminal, and the worst kind of scum in Washington.

She really does disgust me, and  I truly wish someone would do their damned job and lock her up. No one is supposed to be above the law in America. But, I guess that doesn't apply to anyone named Clinton.

In Memorium...

Once upon a time... I used to live in a country that was built upon freedom and individual rights. It was a nation that set trends and blazed trails, rather than followed the herd and modeled itself off other nations.

This was a strong and proud country, where the people were free to speak their minds (even if no one else agreed with them), and worked hard for the things they wanted/needed in life. They didn't ask for permission to live a certain way, or worry about how their neighbors may be living (as long as it didn't interfere with their life or property). They didn't want or need the government's intervention and intrusion into their jobs, their health, their lives.

We were a nation that welcomed people seeking a better life with open arms, as long as they came to us legally and abided by our laws while here. We believed in true equality, rather than "leveling the playing field" so that some could benefit off the work of others.

In my country, a person had God-given rights, no man (woman, or "other") was ever supposed to be able to take away. Each and every legal citizen was entitled to earn their own living, keep a large majority of what they earned, and freely spend their earnings however they saw fit. We had the right to protect ourselves, our family and friends, our property and even our country, without the permission or approval of anyone else (including our elected officials). No one could tell us how many guns we could own, what kind of bullets to use, or where to purchase them. And, if some criminally insane moron open fired on a crowd of innocent civilians, we didn't blame the guns, or even all legal gun owners. We blamed the person at fault. (I know, what a radical concept!)

In the country I remember, we were free to disagree with each other and the President, without throwing temper tantrums, and demanding a "safe space" (with a blanky and a pacifier). If the country voted for someone we didn't like, we still respected their position, and worked hard to vote them out the next time. We didn't call for shady and legally questionable prosecutors to go on year long fishing expeditions, searching for even the slightest reason (even if it was made up) to try and impeach him.

This was a country our allies had faith in, our enemies feared and respected, and our celebrities/athletes kept most of their political opinions private. Our officials understood that they're public "servants" (meaning they serve us), and it was their duty to uphold our will. We didn't just blindly follow whatever they decided was best for us, and we refused to allow them to divide us for their own personal and political gain.

Yes, we had our share of problems, and it wasn't exactly a utopia. But, I can promise you this... America was a whole hell of a lot better when I was a kid, than it is today. I can also tell you with absolute certainty that, the very people who've always claimed that we're not free, great or fair (the same ones still claiming that now), are the exact reason we aren't. You can't complain about the flames, when you're the one burning down the house.

Pray for Las Vegas

First of all, let me say that my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and family members of the Las Vegas massacre. May the Lord watch over you all, in these troubling times.

Next, I would like to say that this was a horrible and cowardly act, by a deranged and disturbed mind. Though it's important to learn his motives and what supposedly set him off (so that we can hopefully prevent it from happening again), absolutely nothing will ever justify his actions. No reason ever given, will make this okay.

These people weren't hurting anyone. They weren't threatening life, property or the country. They were simply enjoying a music festival, and trying to have a good time. As far as anyone can tell, there weren't any religious, political or social ideologies involved. The man just open fired on a defenseless crowd for the pure evil of it, making him a worthless piece of crap.

Which brings me to my next point... all the morons out there, using this tragedy to call for gun control/gun bans. Yes, I called them morons, and no, I won't apologize for it.

Right now, we barely know anything about the shooter. We don't have a clue about his motives, or even how he got the guns in the first place. Therefore, it's way to soon to start trying to push an agenda, and call for gun control.

As far as anyone can tell right now, any gun control measures ever called for, would not have prevented this incident from occurring. For all we know so far, he legally purchased and owned those weapons, or even stole them somewhere. In either case, more gun laws would not have helped at all.

To me, it's sickening, and speaks to their real character, when I hear people (like failed politician, Hillary Clinton) calling for gun control and wrongfully pointing the finger at people and groups, mere hours after something like this.

After hearing her tweet, wrongfully claiming the man used a silencer, and putting the blame on the NRA, all I can say, is "Thank God this disgusting excuse for a human being isn't our President!"

Anyway, this is a time for mourning, and finding out what really happened. Maybe, after we learn all the details, we can work on finding real solutions.

But, until then, Let's keep our ideology and agenda to ourselves... okay?

Repeal Obamacare Now

The time has come to get real on healthcare, and to expose a few lies and misconceptions along the way.

The so-called "Affordable Healthcare Act" (Obamacare), is nothing more than a gigantic, unconstitutional, money-sucking quagmire. It was America's first national attempt to ease into government controlled, socialized medicine, and it's failing miserably (no big surprise there).

It's costing the country trillions of dollars, forcing people who can't really afford it to buy insurance they don't want/need, and providing us with ever increasing premiums with equally decreasing coverage. It was designed (like every other entitlement) to get poor people so dependant upon it, they can't live without it, and then to collapse at the worst possible time, without constant bailouts.

For seven long years, nearly every Republican in Congress has ran on the promise to repeal and replace this unpopular disaster of a law. This one pledge has been the single most winningest strategy in U.S. political history.  And, for seven years, the voters gave them everything they claimed to need to do away with Obamacare. We gave them the House, they said they needed the Senate. We gave them the Senate, they needed the Presidency. Each time we gave, all we got in return were a bunch of lame, tired excuses.

President Trump was right, when he said that it was easy for Republicans to promise to get rid of Obamacare, when they knew the Democrats could (and would) stop it. But, now that they are the majority, their true colors are showing. They're a bunch of frauds and liars, who never intended to do the job they were elected to do.

It would be easy (if not intellectually dishonest) to defend them, by saying they don't want to replace one bad law with another. But, the truth is, most of them are not even really trying. They've had seven years to come up with something better! And, most of the "no" votes are from people offering amendments they know will never work, or pass. (It's called a "poison pill", and is meant to deliberately kill a potentially popular bill.)

Let's be completely honest here... there are quite a few like RINO Senator John McCain, who ran on repeal, but never intended to actually do it, and absolutely hate President Trump. McCain is one of at least a dozen so-called Republicans that is so intent on making sure Trump doesn't get a win, he gladly sacrifices the nation for his own pride.

Yes, I am aware that the man was a war hero and a POW in Vietnam. But, now he's resting on his laurels, and being a lying obstructionist (to use one of Obama's terms). Though I am thankful for his military service, I can't help but wonder what that younger McCain would have thought about the bitter, dishonest older man he became.

McCain, and others are claiming they can't support the new repeal, unless the President includes the Democrats in the process. They know this is a dead end, because there is no way any Democrat will vote to get rid of their only achievement in the past eight years.  They all insist on keeping it, and only making minor changes here or there to "fix" it. It can't be "fixed", and the Republicans didn't win by pledging to keep it, or any part of it. They won solidly, by promising to get rid of it, period.

Another villain in this mess, is Senator Rand Paul. Paul claims one of his biggest issues with repeal, is the desire to give healthcare back to the states, and let them decide how to run it. Apparently, Senator Paul (who is normally pretty good with the Constitution) has forgotten about a little thing called the Tenth Amendment, that gives any power not directly assigned to the government back to the states and the people. Go ahead and look it up, controlling healthcare isn't listed anywhere in the Constitution as a governmental right. It belongs to the states.

The worry is, certain states will misuse the funds, or attempt experimental healthcare systems and leave the poor worse off. But, that is how America is supposed to work. Everyone has the right to succeed or fail of their own accord, without government interference or bailouts. If California or New York try single-payer healthcare, and it fails (as it must by design), that's on them, and not a more successful state's problem. That's Capitalism, and America!

The long and short of it all is this... You were elected because you promised to do a job. So, do It! If you don't, it's your fault and no one else's when you lose your seat in Congress. There won't be any point in blaming Trump (though I'm sure the lying cowards will try).

No More Riots

Here we go again... Another weekend of protesting and violence in St. Louis, over a police officer being acquitted for the shooting of a young black man.

Once again, the real story behind the event is being deliberately muddied and obfuscated to create a certain narrative. And, once again, the general public isn't interested in the truth.

This time, some of the details are a bit more sketchy, granted. However, the core facts remain... the victim, Lamar Smith, was a known heroin dealer, with multiple arrests (including assault, attempted murder, and illegal possession of a firearm). He was seen (according to eye witnesses, dash cams, and a business surveillance camera) dealing drugs, when two cops arrived to arrest him. He then resisted the arrest, used his car to ram a police cruiser (while trying to hit the officers), and led the cops on a high speed chase. After wrecking the car, he allegedly pulled a gun (there was no video evidence of this), and officer Jason Stockley shot him five times, killing him instantly. A judge reviewed the evidence and cleared Stockley of murder charges.

It's a shame that Smith was killed, and I admit that there are a few questions still remaining. Stockley was heard on the police cruiser cam (during the chase) saying that when they caught Smith, he was going to kill the M.F. and the only gun found in Smith's car had Stockley's fingerprints on it, not Smith's. There's even s piece of video where Stockley is presumably putting Smith's gun into a duffle bag after the shooting (many protesters claim he's actually taking the gun out of the bag to plant it).

All of these issues don't exactly help to make the case cut and dry, but they don't take away from the most important parts...

Smith (A known felon with a long history of violence) was committing a crime, and attempted to injure or kill officers with his car in the escape. He physically assaulted the officers, and put the public in danger with his reckless driving and high speed chase. All of this could have been avoided by surrendering to the cops at the start.

I'm not saying he deservered to die, or that the situation couldn't have gone better. What I am saying is, the victim was far from innocent or blameless (not that it matters to the Regressives, or the protesters).

Hasn't anyone else noticed that nearly every one of these so-called "victims of police shootings" turn out to be people with long, violent histories, and are generally resisting the police after being caught in the commission of a crime?

If there actually is some sort of racist police agenda to kill black men, then where are all the middle-class, family men, without a criminal record murder victims? Where is the father of 3, Deacon of his church, well educated, never been in trouble with the law victims? Isn't it funny how you never see the police killing a man lime Herman Cain, or Dr. Ben Carson? Why is it always the drug dealing, gang banging, ex con with a rap sheet longer than he is tall?

There has been a lot of talk about retraining police officers on how to interact with the black community, to heal some of divide. I support that, but it will never work, if that is all we do.

We also need to teach the inner city black youth that crime doesn't really pay in the long run, resisting arrest will get you killed, and the police are not your enemy as long as you obey the law.

I'm sick of all the idiots out there, martyring criminals to push their own racist and anarchist agenda. I'm tired of the media helping them by showing photographs of the "victim" as a sweet teenaged boy (back before the trouble began). Or, musicians and actors who glorify the gangster/drug dealer culture, and accept no responsibility,  when some young kid gets killed or arrested trying to copy their work.

I grew up in an exclusively black neighborhood, and watched as the drugs claimed our streets. I saw first hand, what children were being taught about cops, teachers and other authority figures. And, I've heard all the tired, lame excuses about how you have to hustle, or sell drugs to make a living, because there aren't any jobs.

The truth is, most of the dealers and gang members really don't want a job, and they don't give a damn about their community.  They only care about themselves, and getting whatever they want, any way they want, and to hell with the law, or anyone that gets in their way.

I got myself out of that environment and situation, and I didn't screw over anyone to do it. Anyone can get out (regardless of skin color, gender or race), all it takes is ambition and hard work.

Jobs are not going to come into a community ate up by crime and drugs. Employers don't want to open businesses where they'll be robbed everyday, or their customers could be murdered.

The only way to bring jobs into your community, is to clean it up, and take it back from the scum. No one outside your neighborhood is going to do it for you. (And why should they?) And, it's no one's responsibility but your own. Stop blaming others for you circumstances, play by the rules and laws of society, and step up and do what it takes to succeed legally.

You'll find life is a lot easier and better, when you no longer have to worry about the police and prison.

Bipartisanship

A lot has been said, this past week, about President Trump's meetings with the Democrats on the debt ceiling, and his dinner with them over immigration issues.

I have heard a lot of complaints from the Democrats I know, that this is some kind of trick, and he can't be trusted. While some Republicans are screaming that he betrayed them, and was never a true Conservative.

Quite a few seem genuinely surprised that I'm not mortally outraged by Trump's apparent defection.

The plain truth of the matter is, why should I be?

Isn't it the job of the President to reach across the aisle, and find as many non-partisan solutions to problems, as he/she can? The last time I checked, he was elected President of the United States of America,  not the Republican States, or the Conservative States.

If the Republicans want to get upset at the President for going to the Democrats, they really have no one to blame but themselves.

They had eight years to fulfill their promises to the American people. Eight very long years to repeal Obamacare, strengthen our borders, reform our tax code... etc. And instead, all we've gotten from them is one lame excuse after another.

When we elected Trump, it was because we believed he would actually accomplish these things (and God knows he's tried). We believed that we finally had everything the career Republican politicians claimed they needed to do their job.

But, instead of fulfilling their long over due promises, they basically sided with the Democrats first, by rejecting any and everything the President has tried to do (even when it perfectly aligns with the agenda they've always claimed to support).

Therefore, what choice did Donald Trump have, but to go to the Democrats to get something done? Granted, they were never going to give him (or the majority of the American people) everything he wanted. But, unlike the never-Trump RINOS (like John McCain), the Democrats were at least willing to talk about it, and possibly compromise.

America is divided enough already, without our elected officials acting like spoiled children, and widening the gap. If you don't like the President turning to your opponents, then grow the hell up, and do the job you were elected to do.

Another London Attack

Well, it's happened again... another attempted terrorist attack in London.

Thankfully, it appears the bomb planted on a subway car during rush hour, misfired. So far, the news is saying over twenty people were burned or injured, but there were no deaths. (Thank God!)

Lately, it seems England has been leading the rest of the free world in terrorist attacks carried out by radicalized extremists. (To be fair and completely honest, no one has claimed this one yet. So, we don't really know who is responsible for this one.)

So many people now, are asking why this keep happening over there (and in Paris, which is running a close second on the number of incidents)? Why are the terrorists targeting London, when they've tried to be so accommodating to the Muslims, and the Syrian refugees?

I'm no expert, but it seems pretty obvious to me, why this is happening. It's precisely because of their tolerance, and open border policies.

You see, radical Islamist aren't like most other Muslims. They aren't seeking peaceful coexistence with anyone outside their own religious beliefs. In fact, They believe that their faith explicitly forbids it, and demands that others either convert, or die. (Whether or not, this is the true teachings of Muhammad, is for someone else to decide, since it's not my religion.)

For them, a Christian or secular, country opening it's borders to a devout Muslim population is a sign of weakness and submission. They cannot comprehend any belief that's will to live in harmony with people who don't share their views. To them, this is blasphemy, and the worst possible kind of crime.

This could also explain why they refuse to assimilate when relocating to another culture. They view it as a mockery of their religious teachings and principles.

And so, when they encounter a culture preaching tolerance and coexistence, they view that culture as either Godless and weak, or worse, a people casually worshipping a false God. They then feel it's their duty to either convert them to what they believe is the true path, or destroy them for the honor and glory of their God.

Don't get me wrong in this post. I'm not siding with radical Islam, or trying to justify their cowardly, terroristic acts. I am merely trying to explain, and learn, why they attack innocent civilians, and behave the way they do.

It will never be enough to simply label someone as evil, or to just say that they hate us, and leave it at that. If you truly want to defeat an enemy, you have to get inside their head, and really understand what drives them.

There is no action in life (good or evil) without motive. Everything happens for a reason, whether you see it or not. And, until we know the jihadists' reasons, we'll never truly know how to stop them.

DACA Must Go

Go ahead. Call me a racist, or say that I'm heartless and "unfeeling". I don't really care anymore.

The simple truth of the matter is, DACA must go.

It's unconstitutional, illegal, and actually immoral.

It's often said that America is a nation of laws, which means our laws have to have meaning, and they must apply to everyone equally.  We cannot simply pick and choose which laws we will follow, and which we can ignore. If this were the case, there would be no need for laws, police or prisons at all.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with feeling bad for the so-called "Dreamers", and the terrible position they're in. It's okay to acknowledge that it's not their fault they were brought here illegally as children.

However, we also have to accept that the law is the law, and it's in place for a reason.  We cannot  (and should not) reward violations, at the expense of actual American citizens.

Yes, I am aware that Dreamers were brought here by their parents, and didn't have a choice. I also know that they were raised here, and many of them know almost nothing of their home country. And, that several have family members that are legal American citizens.

However, I am also aware that in order to get a livable wage at any job in this country, you must have a Social Security number, or a work visa. Since Dreamers are undocumented with immigration, one can only assume that a large number of them are using bogus, or stolen, numbers to go to school, or find work. (It's not racist, it's logic.)

If I were to steal, or make up, a Social Security number to get a job, I would be in serious trouble, when the authorities found out. It wouldn't matter how good my intentions may have been, or how hungry my family was. That is the law, and I violated it, end of story.

Another way to look at the situation is, if I were to rob a bank, and put the money in a trust fund for my kids, they wouldn't be allowed to keep the money after I was caught. In other words, they couldn't benefit from my crime.

Entering the United States without the proper documentation is illegal (just as it is in every other country on the planet). It doesn't matter what your excuse may be, or how you may feel about it emotionally.

Illegal aliens (Dreamers, or othetwise), take jobs away from citizens. They also drive down wages on certain low-level jobs, because employers can get away with paying them less, and don't have to provide benefits. (Who are they going to tell?)

So, supporting illegal aliens and sanctuary cities, is actually a form of exploitation. But, of course, Regressive politicians already knew this.

The truth is, most of the politicians on the Left have never really given a damn about illegal aliens, or their struggles. All that truly matters, is appearing to care, and trying to help. If they look like they're on the aliens' side, they win the votes of the illegals' friends and family whom are here legally. Plus, several Liberal areas are already trying to give aliens the right to vote themselves. (I wonder who they'll vote for when this happens...)

I don't doubt that the average, everyday Liberal out there, actually feels for these people, and genuinely wants to help them. Just as I have no doubts that this emotional debate was created, and is being stirred, by power hungry politicians, who only care about securing votes for themselves and their party.

There is nothing in the Constitution that grants the right to stay here illegally, if you were brought here as a child. DACA was/is an illegal bill, passed by Executive Order by President Obama  (intent on side-stepping the law, and our Constitution). It sounds compassionate, and gives people the warm-fuzzies to think they're doing a good thing. But, are they really?

"America first" isn't just a slogan. It's how each of us must live, if our nation is going to survive. So, as cold and harsh as it may sound, we must get rid of DACA, for the good of the nation.

Sixteen Years Ago

Just like every year on this day, I'm sitting in remembrance of the day when the towers fell, the Pentagon was attacked, and a group of brave souls prevented a fourth strike on an unknown target.

I watch old news footage, and remember where I was when I first heard of the attacks. I sit in silent prayer and contemplation of everything this day means (or should mean) to American citizens. And I wonder...

Why haven't we learned our lesson?

Yes, we've tightened our security measures, and made flying more inconvenient. But, we really haven't gotten any safer, or learned anything about being Americans, or human beings.

After the tragedies of September 11th, 2001, we all came together. Every one of us. There were no white people or black people, no Republicans or Democrats, no Liberals or Conservatives. We were all Americans, united in our grief and moral outrage over these cowardly, unGodly attacks.

Suddenly, it didn't matter if you voted for or against George W. Bush, or whether you agreed with his policies or not. All that mattered, was our nation, and finding the people responsible. We were United and strong, the way a truly great nation should be.

Of course, it didn't take long for the idiots (calling themselves 9/11 truthers) to start coming out of the woodwork, spreading division and wild and bogus conspiracy theories about how steel doesn't melt. But, in the beginning, we were all on the same page.

No one was arguing over which bathroom we should be using, or whining that they need a "safe space" because they might be traumatized over someone else's differing opinion. No one was worried that we may hurt the terrorists' feelings, by speaking the truth about their beliefs and actions.

If we are going to survive as a nation, we need to stop allowing others to divide us, and stop focusing on what makes us different from each other. We need to remember that we're all one people (regardless of skin color, gender or political affiliation), and that our country must come first.

I know, there are a lot of people out there, who think we need to be "global citizens" first and foremost. But, the truth is, we need to protect our own interest, just as every other country is protecting theirs. No one else in the world will defend your rights as an American citizen, if you're unable, or unwilling to. And, once they're gone, it will be nearly impossible to get them back.

So, on September 11th, we should always remember that freedom isn't free, and there are always people out there, who would love to take yours from you.

No NFL For Me, Thanks

I'm done with the NFL. (Not that they'll notice, or care.)

I'm sick to death of all these whiney, steroid addicted sissies disrespecting our National Anthem, and our nation.

These are young, black men, making millions of dollars, to play a game that high school kids play for free (or even have to pay to play). Yet, America is so "oppressive" and "racist". Give me a damned break!

Anyone who knows me personally (or bothers to read through my blog), knows that I don't suffer fools, liars or racists. It seems to me that the NFL is full of all three (generally, in the same players).

You're not "oppressed" if you're making $64 million a year to play a game, whether you win or lose. You're not a "victim of racism", if you're black and work for a company that employs African-Americans as over 70% of its workforce. You're not standing up for others, if you live in a multi-million dollar mansion, and your only act of "protest" is kneeling or sitting through the National Anthem.

With all the real problems we're facing in this day and age, the last thing we need is more manufactured outrage by spoiled rich people who've lost touch with the real world (if they ever had it to begin with.)

Therefore, you can keep your NFL, and anything else that endorses division, activist racism, and sheer stupidity. I have better things to waste my time and money on.

Our Only Option?

I keep hearing how there aren't any good options for dealing with a nuclear North Korea. That may very well be true, but they still must be dealt with.

We cannot allow them to continue building their strength, stockpiling weapons, and making threats. Evil must be stopped.

Our last two President's did very little to stop the evil dynasty. All their talks and sanctions were doomed to fail, even before they were attempted. They knew this, and we're only kicking the can farther down the road. They did the bare minimum they could get by with, while the Kim family continued to grow in power.

Now, there's almost nothing we can do anymore, and the threat is becoming more serious by the minute.

The last thing anyone in America wants, is another long and drawn out war (especially one we've already lost in the past). We're sick of regime changing and nation building. But, in this case, we may not have much choice.

I know that in the seventies, President Jimmy Carter signed an order forbidding the United States from assassinating government officials in other countries (either directly, or through third parties). However, this is a very delicate and extremely sticky situation.

It may require a surgical strike directed at Kim Jong Un, and a few of his top advisors. While, at the same time, we could launch a cyber attack on their missile systems to keep them grounded.

We could even try to rally the support of the people themselves, and help them to stage a coup. If/when it works, we can step in, remove all the nukes, and destroy all their research.

Yes, I know that China "won't allow it", but they won't really have a choice. They have had opportunity after opportunity to reign in their lapdog, and have only recently made any sort of effort. They aren't stupid, they know a nuclear North Korea is far too dangerous to allow.

It's obvious that talking to Un, or sanctioning him, isn't going to work. Unfortunately,  in my mind, that only leaves one other option. Because we sure as hell can't keep ignoring him.

My Testimony

Until about three years ago, I was an atheist. For most of my adult life, I was a very loud, outspoken and proud non-believer. There was nothing I loved more than to point out all the "flaws" I saw in both the belief and the believer. (They even had a term for people like me... the "Angry Atheist".)

As time went on, I began to realize how juvenile and idiotic I was acting by tearing down other people's deeply held beliefs, and getting seriously worked up over seeing a Nativity scene on public display. The religion wasn't physically threatening or harming me in any way, and I was acting every bit as intolerant as I was accusing Christians of being.

I had considered myself somewhat "enlightened" back then, and decided that, although I would never be a believer myself (or so I thought), it was not my place to change others' views.

I still considered myself morally superior, and capable of living my life anyway I want, without "divine help" or guidance.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

After years of doing things my own way, without any care or concern as to whom I hurt, or what the consequences would be, it all finally caught up to me one night.

I had been caught red handed in actions I will no longer speak about, but only to say they were extremely bad. In an instant, my whole life crumbled around me, and I truly lost everything (my house, my car, my wife and my kids). I was homeless, alone and had no hopes of ever recovering.

Two weeks into being on my own, and not hearing anything from my wife or kids, I had finally reached the end of my rope. I couldn't take it anymore,  and decided it would be better for everyone, if I were gone. It wasn't a cry for help, or a pity party, I had a plan and fully intended to carry it out. Besides, I had no one that I could have cried for help to, all I had was the clothes on my back, my work cell phone and a company truck from my job, that I was sleeping in. (I was a truck driver at the time.)

I can still recall the moment vividly. I was hauling some freight, and mentally working on my plan. That evening, I was going to deliver the load, drive to a truck stop, and end it all. I remember how clear it all seemed to me, how this was the only logical choice I had left. My wife and kids hated me, and I would never be able to rebuild what I had lost (thrown away).

As I drove, the truck radio suddenly came on by itself. It spooked the hell out of me, but I quickly decided it was a malfunction.
As I reached to turn it off, it began changing channels away from the static, and ended up on a station playing some really great sounding metal (one of my favorite styles of music). I had never heard the song before, and the singer didn't sound familiar to me, but these guys really rocked. The eerie thing was, the song was entitled "Not Gonna Die Tonight" by a band I later found out was called Skillet. The next song to come on, rocked even harder than the first, and was called "Take the Bullets Away" by We As Human. By the time it ended, I was feeling a warm sense of peace like I had never known before.

It was as if I wasn't alone in that truck, and whoever was there, wanted to comfort me.  I couldn't even begin to describe it to you now.

That night, I did something I never thought I would ever do... I prayed. I told the Lord that if He was real, and that had been him, send me another sign. One I couldn't explain away or mistake.

I awoke the next morning to my cell phone ringing. My wife, whom I hadn't spoken to in two weeks and absolutely hated me, was calling because she dreamed I tried to kill myself. She was in tears, and we talked about working things out and me getting help.

From that moment, I became a Christian, and forever changed. It hasn't been easy, and I still struggle, but my life has been so much better.

Well, that's my story, and I really don't care if anyone believes it or not. I know what I went through, and I know what it's like to disbelieve everything you're told. I also know that personal experiences will never stand as valid proof to the skeptical mind.

But, most of all, I know about love, forgiveness,  and redemption. Say whatever you wish about me, or the Christian belief, but that's the God I follow.

Race and Getting Ahead in Life

I think the time has come for a Great Awakening, and a Great Healing in America. It's time to put aside all of our petty differences, and begin to focus on the things that made us great in the first place.

We need to reject all forms of racism and hatred, wherever it may be found. Not just those that are politically or ideologically approved.

Speak truth, not only to power, but to the masses awash in their own brand of corruption and bigotry. And, stop allowing others to be your voice and your conscience.

Most of us know what's right, and what's wrong. We don't need peer pressure and mob mentality to guide us. It's time that we acted upon it, and lived by it.

You know it's wrong to hate a person, or a whole group of people, because of their skin color. It doesn't matter which lame excuse you may use to justify it; it's just plain wrong. That goes for everyone of every race, whether you're the KKK, the White Nationalist, ANTIFA, or Black Lives Matter.

There is no "White Priveledge" or "Black Power" anymore. If you are down, and oppressed, only you have the power and ability to get yourself out of that situation.

This is America, where (despite the lies you're being told) you still have the choice and opportunity to change your situation.

I was raised in a ghetto for part of my childhood. But, I knew that didn't mean I had to remain there. And,  my skin color had absolutely nothing to do with getting me out. It was a combination of education,  hard work, attitude and the determination to strive for better things (not to mention, a whole lot of grace from God).

I struggled, just like anyone living in or below poverty, and I didn't always make the best choices. But, so far, I have overcome, and pushed through. And, there's nothing unique or special about my story. Anyone can do it, if they just try.

Despite what all the dividers and race-baiters put there love to claim, no one ever gave me a damned thing because I was white. There's no exclusive club, or select membership I'm aware of.  Everything I have, I worked hard for, and earned on my own. I did it by acting like a civilized human being, and playing by the established rules of our society.

Whether you're white, black, brown, purple or green, you're never going to get anywhere in life by playing the victim, or blaming others for your own inactions or misdeeds.

If you want that six figure job, do what it takes to make yourself worthy of it. Get an education, dress like you've got an ounce of self-respect, learn how to treat others in a courteous manner, and seek out people who can help you achieve your goals.

You can't dress like a common criminal, or like you just rolled out of bed and have given up on life, and expect things to be just handed to you. You can't go to job interview, barely able to read or write, and expect to get a job. It's no one's fault but your own, if you'd rather sell drugs, or collect welfare, than do what it takes to succeed.

There's no secret to success in life (especially here in America). Everyone actually knows exactly what it takes to get ahead. Play by the rules, dream big, work hard, and keep picking yourself up when you fail. Sooner or later, you'll get there.

Stop using race as an excuse, and start doing what's right for you and your family. Help each other out, but don't enable laziness, addiction and ignorance.

And most of all, know that God truly does love you, and wants you to succeed (whether you believe in Him or not).

We're all in this together. God bless, and good luck.

Identifying Real Racism

You know, one of the biggest issues with racism today, is how hard it is to identify by modern standards. Some of the things we currently consider "racist", would have simply been ignored or laughed at a generation or two ago.

Now days, there are large factions out there, trying hard to make racial hatred a political or ideological issue, when it's actually neither. They muddy the waters by claiming anything that goes against them and their fragile beliefs is racist in nature.

For anyone that is confused, allow me to give a couple of examples to help you see the difference...

1. Colin Kaepernick. A 29 year old, African-American, that was making millions in the NFL. In order to stay relevant and stir up controversy, he began "protesting", by kneeling during the National Anthem before games. This angered the majority of the fans (The reason he was paid millions to play in the first place.), and got him benched for the rest of the season. He went free agent, and now none of the teams will sign him, so he immediately screams they are racist.

Easily 70% of the NFL is African-American  (compared to only 13% of the U.S. population), and the majority of those make over $10 million per contracted year. That is not racism in any way, shape or form.

Kaepernick can't find a team to sign him, because no one wants the controversy, or lost revenues he brings to the table. He's toxic, and it has nothing to do with race. Unless of course, you count his hypocritical race-baiting he's doing now (with the help of the NAACP).

2. Former Arizona Sheriff, Joe Arpaio. For decades, Sheriff Joe has made a name for himself and Maricopa County, Arizona, by being tough on illegal aliens in his jurisdiction. His raids and arrests became the stuff of legend, and won him several re-elections, as well as the respect of the nation.

However, recently, the political winds changed in Arizona, and the Liberals finally got a firm foothold. One of the first things on their agenda, was to undermine all immigration efforts, and declare cities like Phoenix "sanctuaries" for aliens. So, of course, Sheriff Joe had to go.

They ordered him (and other sheriffs) not to enforced federal immigration and deportation laws (which is illegal). And, when he refused to comply with their unlawful order, they stripped him of his position, then charged him with contempt of court. All for upholding the law!

President Trump has just pardoned him of his "crimes", and now the Regressives are having another fit, screaming "racism".

I hate to break it to you (actually, I don't), but we have immigration laws in this country for a reason. It's not racist to want to protect you citizens, resources and borders, no more than locking your doors on your house and cars is racist. If we're going to permit people to simply ignore the laws they don't agree with, then why bother having laws at all? Why arrest and try people for anything at all? I'm sure most criminals don't agree with the laws they violate.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make here is this... Yes, real racism does still exist in America,  but it's far more rare than the media and race-baiters would have you believe. And, when you cry racism at every little thing that doesn't go your way, no one will listen (or care) when you encounter actual racism.

Failed President?

Lately, there's been a lot of talk in the Liberal media about how President Trump hasn't really accomplished anything so far. Some are going as far as to refer to him as a "failed" President, and pointing to the attempts to repeal Obamacare as proof.

First of all, this is a blatant lie, and the people saying it know better. President Trump has accomplished quite a bit already. Getting Gorsuch confirmed and appointed, bombing Syria for using chemical weapons (instead of drawing an imaginary line he was never going to enforce), passing forty-six bills through Congress, lowering both the actual unemployment rate and the number of illegal aliens sneaking into our country, getting China to approve sanctions on North Korea, getting NATO member countries to pay their fair share... The list goes on.

The truly incredible thing, is when you look at everything he's had to face to get any of it done.

Granted, Obama had to deal with a few "obstructionists" and "Birthers", but nowhere near what Trump is seeing.

The "birthers" were a small fringe element (including Trump), who held no real power, and we're widely ridiculed by even the people on the Right (their own side). Obama could have easily shut them up (rather than keep it going, like he did) by showing his birth certificate sooner.

Trump, on the other hand, has the Russian Collusion Delusion, and no way to shut them up, until they finally admit there's no proof.

Obama called all the Republicans "obstructionists", when only a handful actually resisted him at all cost. Most only "obstructed" him when his plans or agenda didn't match their own. (That's why we have more than one party, it's called democracy and politics.) He rarely ever had any Democrats against him on any issue (nevermind every issue). Again, when they did, it was for policy reasons, not personal.

On the flipside, Trump has been dealing with the Democrats' "resist movement", and a healthy dose of RINOs (Republican In Name Only). Both of the groups have made it amply clear that they find him personally distasteful and offensive, and will never side with him, no matter what the issue. If he found a way to cure all disease for free to everyone, they would vote against it, just because he did it. That's not democracy, it's childish, stupid and putting our country in danger over a petty grudge.

Then, there's the "Obama Darlings" (as they were actually called more than once)... The media. Like them or not, our news services in America go a long way to shape public opinion on people or issues. As much as some like to claim they hate the news, the only way to really get any information  (or most misinformation) about a politician or an issue, is through the media.

During his Presidency, the media never missed a chance to sing Obama's praises, give him a pass when he screwed up, and downplay or spin anything he did against American principles or Constitutional law. For the most part, the media has been Obama's personal cheering squad for the past eight years  (and still are).

Trump however, has had to deal with an openly hostile, unapologetically biased media with no morals or scruples. He has to figure out how to get his message out, despite the outright lies, misdirections and made up stories from so-called journalists people depend upon for presumably factual information.  So far this year CNN, MSNBC and the New York Times has had to retract at least seventeen stories about Trump that were blatantly untrue (with countless others they still refuse to acknowledge as untrue). Stacked against this level of corruption, it's no wonder the President has to use Twitter and campaign style rallies to get his message to the people.

I've said it plenty of times before, Donald Trump is far from perfect as a President. But, he's a hell of a lot better than what we jad, and what we almost had. Before you criticize the President's supposed inability to get thing done, perhaps you should look at what he has actually done, and all the things he has to overcome.

Solar Eclipse 2017

Isn't it amazing, how just when you're ready to throw in the towel, and give up on humanity, something happens to give you at least a little glimmer of hope?

Today, with my family, I watched the total eclipsed; a once-in-a-lifetime event. Though I was impressed with the awesome beauty of the convergence of our moon and sun, I was more impressed with the people around us.

For a brief moment, we were all simply human beings, united to watch one of the world's natural wonders together. There were no racist, sexist, homophobes, straight bashers, atheist or religious zealots. I didn't see any Republicans or Democrats, Liberals or Conservatives, no Obama haters or anti-Trumpers. We were all Americans and human beings. It was peaceful and glorious.

It started me wondering, when was the last time our country actually felt unified? Then, the answer came to me... September 12th, 2001. The day after the towers fell.

On that day, we were all one people, united in our grief, and against a common enemy. No one cared who you voted for in the last election, or what color your skin was. It didn't matter if you were gay or straight.  All that mattered was being there for your fellow citizens, your fellow human beings.

It shouldn't take a great (or tragic) event to bring us all together. We shouldn't need a reason, or excuse, to find common ground with others. We should already be practicing this every day.

Of course, the good will didn't last. (It never does.) The media immediately returned to tearing into the President for not wearing eye protection, and his latest comments on the racial divide.

Tomorrow, the news will be filled with more "scandals" and horrific tweets, and the so-called "new normal" will be in full swing, once more.  But, for at least a few minutes today, there was peace, brotherhood, and civility.

Here's hoping we can get it all back for good, someday soon.

Free Speech

A quick look at Yahoo earlier (I know, I know... why do I bother?) Informed me that the "Free Speech" rally in Boston was "cut short" by anti-protesters. The article went on glowingly about how the "Conservative White Nationalist" were stopped by an overwhelmingly larger crowd (which included members of both ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter).

The problem is, all this was predicted yesterday on a couple of Fox News shows, by the event's organizers. They correctly pointed out which hate groups would be there to shut them down, and how they would incorrectly tie the rally to White Nationalist (even though none were invited, and only one of the speakers at the event was even white).

The rally was meant as a way to show public support and defense of all of our Constitutional right to free speech. It was open to everyone, of every race, creed or religion, and wasn't focused on elevating or tearing down one group over any others. But, there's a reason why I call the kinds of people demonstrating against these things "Regressives".

Their true colors were glaringly exposed for all the world to see today.

Will it matter? Of course not. The media will never sink to the level of reporting the actual truth about this. Even if they did, half our country is too indoctrinated and misinformed to care. And, almost no one seems smart enough to look beyond their fake, momentary outrage, to see the bigger picture here.

For the last few years, idiots on college campuses have been rioting and threatening violence, to prevent anyone they don't agree with from speaking. Anyone that has any sort of argument that differs from the Left's opinions, is branded some sort of "ist" or "phobe". And, they do it all, while claiming to be defending against "hate speech".

Let me explain something to you, snowflake... Legally, the is no such thing as "hate speech". Scour the books, Constitution, or any official document you like. You won't find it anywhere.

That's because, in order for it to become a legal and viable term, it has to be defined by a central authority.

Now, think this through for once... if you're a Liberal, and the Conservatives are in charge, do you really want them deciding what's legally considered hateful and punishable by law? (The same applies if you're a Conservative under Liberal rule).

Who really should have the authority to decide? What I find hateful and offensive, you may consider normal and tolerable.

Here's another piece of mind candy for your starving little brains...

The First Amendment guarantees us the right to speak freely. It does not state, "only if approved by the government or society". It was written to protect everyone's right to speak their mind, no matter how ignorant or offensive what they say may be. (The only exception to this are calls for violence or  direct harm to others.) The reason is simple, you don't need to protect speech that everyone agrees with. That would be redundant and stupid.

As much as I hate racists of any kind (White Nationalist, La Raza, Black Lives Matter... etc.), I defend their right to speak. If for no other reason than, I would rather have them spewing their garbage out in the open (so I can identify them), than hiding in the shadows, like the cowards they really are.

Diversity

We live in a time where everyone  is being stuffed into ever tighter, more exclusive little boxes. In the names of "diversity" and "tolerance", we celebrate the things that make us different from everyone else, and ridicule anyone not like us.

I am an American.

Aside from being a Christian, this is the only other trait I identify with, or allow to define me. I am not a "white man", a "straight man", a "Conservative", or even an "Independent". All of these things are true about me, but they are not "who I am". (No more than my arm is the entirety of my body.)

When I was younger, it was considered to be a good thing to have friends and acquaintances that were different than you. It was okay for a Republican to be buddies with a Democrat, or a cat person to hang out with dog people. We may have civilly disagreed on certain issues, but could still be friends, without hostility, demonization,or threats of rioting and violence.

Yes, there were racists and bigots back then, but they generally outed themselves through their words and deeds. They didn't need equal and opposite bigots on the other side to expose them. And, the general public mocked, ridiculed and marginalized them. We didn't give them credence and validation by throwing fits and behaving just as badly as they did.

In the last eight years (and especially in the past several months), I have lost some pretty close "friends" and even a few family members, just because they couldn't see past their own ideology, or look beyond mine. In every single case, I tried to extend the olive branch to them, and show them that their was more than just the things we disagree about, only to have them decide to turn their back on me anyway. It truly is their loss, and I really do feel sorry for them.

It's easy (and lazy) to just befriend people who are the same as you. It sets up a comfort zone, and you never have to really think about what you believe, or why.

The real challenge is finding people opposite of your beliefs, and building a true friendship with them anyway. You constantly learn to see things from a different perspective, and are always reevaluating you beliefs and values. Those that remain are strengthened and reinforced. Those that are shaken and weak, are changed or discarded. In the end (hopefully) both sides learn something new, and the bond between you grows stronger.

That's the way it should be.

Charlottesville Virginia

Once again, things have gotten stupid, and our media can't help themselves; they just have to add fuel to the fire.

A racist group, calling themselves the "White Nationalist" were staging a protest in Charlottesville, Virginia over the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Members of the equally racist and divisive (but opposite ideology) ANTIFA group showed up to counter protest.

Long story short, a riot broke out, when the two sides met, and the police were caught in the middle. Then, some idiot with the white supremacist side, drove his car into a crowd of ANTIFA demonstrators, killing one and injuring nineteen others.

This, in and of itself, is bad enough. But, the press just couldn't let it be what it was, a clash of morons. No, they had to poke the bear, by calling the White Nationalist, the "alt-right, and try to link them to President Trump.

Even though Trump was the first government official to speak out against the violence and the hate groups in Virginia,  most still continue to claim he didn't do enough. Many are calling for the President to once again formally denounce event keynote speaker, David Duke (a former Grand Wizard of the KKK, whose support for Trump was already denounce during the Presidential race last year).

This is all just a bunch of nonsense! Denouncing Duke, yet again, will do absolutely nothing. The anti-Trump Regressives won't accept it, and will still complain he didn't go far enough. While, anyone with two functioning brain cells and eyes to see, already knows he has nothing to do with David Duke.

Then, there's the true problem we're still facing in this country... The "Great Divide", as I'm beginning to call it.

We have fallen prey to deliberate attempts to divide our society with the old "us versus them" ploy. Everyone is a victim of someone else, and everyone has a right to be offended. We're being sold the lies that America is full of racist oppressors, "ists" and "phobes" around every corner.

We're being taught to highlight other people's flaws, differences and behaviors, while ignoring our own. We're pressured into seeing the world as either all good (us) or pure and irredeemable evil (them), with no middle ground, or room for debate.

Here's a hint for all of you out there (no matter which side you're on, or who you vote for)... If your values, beliefs and/or groups you belong to, focus on race (either your own, or anyone else's) it's a hate group, and it's evil and wrong. I don't care if you're the White Nationalist, or Black Lives Matter, you're a racist, and you need to open your eyes to the truth.

We are all human beings, and we're all God's children. Racism will never truly die, until we can acknowledge this fact, and truly live by the teachings of both Jesus Christ and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Real racism is actually rare and was on the decline until a few years ago. We need to go back to marginalizing those who hate, and use hate to divide us, instead of shining a light on them, and following their rhetoric.

In the words of Dr. King, "Darkness cannot push out darkness. Only light can. And hate cannot drive our hate. Only love can."

Grow Up

The Book of 1 Corinthians 13:11 (in the Bible, for those of you needing clarity) says, "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But, when I became a man, I put away childish things."

It's time to put away our childish things, America.

It's time to stop with all the juvenile, downright ignorant and dangerous obstructionism, and find some way to work together for the strength and welfare of our nation.

You don't like President Trump? Fine. Lock yourself in your "safe place", cry and kick your feet. Just don't come back out, until you can at least pretend to be an adult human being.

Don't like our current healthcare system? Okay... Write down all of the things you want to see in a new plan, and all the things you don't, then call for a line for line vote. The items that get the most votes stay, and those that don't get tossed. No one will get everything they want, nut that's democracy... deal with it.

Want to be reelected, and stay in power (or regain power)? Wonderful. Start listening to the people you want to vote for you, and at least try to keep even one of your promises, for once in your damned life. The Liberal press loves to point out President Trump's low poll numbers. What they conveniently fail to point out, is that his numbers are considerably and consistently higher than the media's, or any of his detractors in Congress. The reason for this is he's at least on record as trying to keep his promises.

Don't like how divided the country has become? Sure. Then stop supporting politicians, activists and a media that not only cause the divide, but earn a living off of keeping it going. Stop telling people they're racist just because they disagree with you, or you're not getting your way. All Lives Matter, so quit using racism as an excuse to be racist.

You want peace, and an end to war? Great! You'll only have it when you defend yourself, and stand up to your enemies/bullies. Allowing evil men to gain access to nuclear weapons, threaten your country, and either apologizing to them, or paying them off, doesn't work. No one respects a nation that makes empty threats, tries to buy peace, or does nothing to defend itself. If you truly want to stop Russia, Iran and North Korea from making threats and overstepping their boundaries, you have to stand up to them and show them you're ready, willing and able to fight.

All this whining, name calling and petty bickering we're doing, means nothing. It only divides us further, and will only destroy this great nation someday. Let's get it together, pull our heads out of our collective backsides, and start using a little common sense.

Childhood's over. It's time to grow up, America.

Words You Really Must Know 2

Well, here it is... time for round two of "Words You Really Must Know". We'll call this one the "Immigration Edition".

Illegal n. -Not according to or authorized by law. So basically, anything that goes against an official law or rule. Simple, right?

Then, why in the hell can't Regressives get it through their thick heads that, if you sneak into this country, or overstay your visa, YOU ARE VIOLATING THE LAW??? The argument over "criminal" or "non-criminal" immigrants is pointless and irrelevant.  If they didn't go through proper channels to get/stay here, they've already broken the law (meaning, they are a criminal).

Criminal n. -a person who has committed a crime. Another easy one.

America is a society of laws, it's what holds our country together. Like every other country on the planet, we have a set of immigration laws, designed and put into place to protect our citizens, our economy and our sovereignty. Anyone (regardless of reasoning or circumstance), who violates these laws is a criminal... end of story.

Sanctuary n. -A place of refuge, peace and safety.

Isn't it ironic that the majority of these so-called "Sanctuary Cities" are some of the most violent and crime-ridden places in the United States? Plus, isn't "sanctuary" from the law actually called "harboring a fugitive" (which is also an illegal act)? Politicians and police have a duty to uphold the laws of our nation. They don't have the authority, or the right, to pick and choose which to follow, and which to ignore.

Well, there we have it. A few more words added to our vocabulary for the inevitable posts and debates around immigration and deportation.

I hope this cleared up a few issues. However, if you're a Regressive, I seriously doubt that it did. Either way, it was fun.

Give credit where it's due

Where have you gone America? And, more importantly, is it too late to bring you back?

Shortly after Donald Trump was elected, he took decisive action against Syrian President Assad, for using chemical weapons against his own people. After years of flaccid, empty threats never backed up, by former President Obama, the majority of the people (and even the world) took notice, and hailed "America is back!"

Since then, the Trump administration has made steps (or at least attempted to) to strengthen our military, economy, borders and trade agreements. If anyone out there bothered to actually take an honest look at what the man has accomplished, and what he's trying to get done, there would be no doubt that we're on our way back.

Unfortunately, and for reasons that defy all sanity and logic, he's meeting with resistance from all sides every step of the way, and having to drag us back into greatness, kicking and screaming.

It boggles the mind, the lengths so many will go through, simply to deny him even the slightest win. Congressmen and Senators from both sides of the aisle, repeatedly prove that they would rather watch the country burn, than side with the President on even the most basic issues.

There should be no honest reason for debate or dissent on most of these matters facing our government today. Everyone should know that our borders need to be secured, and that insurance companies are killing the people with unfair premiums. We all know that breaking a law makes you a criminal, therefore anyone violating immigration laws is illegal. And, harboring a fugitive is a direct violation of the law, making so-called "sanctuary cities" illegal as well.

"Actions speak louder than words", as the old saying goes. Donald Trump ran on the slogan, "Make America Great Again", and when you cut through all the spin, lies and outright BS, you can easily see clear attempts to keep his promises. Just about every Republican in Congress ran on promises of repealing and replacing Obamacare, and aside from a few weak and half-hearted attempts every now and then, it's also clear they never really intended to. Obama and the Democrats have always ran on identity politics and "fundamentally changing" (read as: "destroying") America. They gave us the epicly failing Obamacare, a divided society of victims and entitlements, and college kids who want "safe spaces" while they decide which bathroom they should be using.

The failure to repeal Obamacare isn't the President's fault. It's the Republican party's, and the Democrats that gave us this steaming pile in the first place. But, we all know that Trump will get the blame.

This has gone past the point of disagreeing with the man, beyond ridiculousness,  and sailed way over the head of sheer stupidity. It's past time to stop throwing your little tantrums, and start doing your part to help our nation.

For the mainstream news, and a lot of Regressives out there... your part means shut up, and let the man do the job he was elected for.

Grand Jury Witch Hunt

It seems Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller is now convening a grand jury to go after President Trump and his son Donald Jr. This will most likely mean bad things for the President.

Not because he's guilty of any sort of "collusion" with the Russians  (they've even admitted they won't get him on that). But, because a grand jury doesn't have to play by the same rules as a normal trial has to follow. They don't even have to stick to the specific charges leveled against him (and they're not).

Mueller has opened an investigation into Trump's finances and business holdings.  This had nothing to do with why he was appointed, and there were no specific accusations of wrong doing in these areas.

This is a dangerous precedence, which could undermine our entire system of laws.

In the past, a grand jury was only convened once there was specific evidence to warrant a hearing. (Sort of like a DA would on go to trial if they had enough evidence to support their case.) So much proof is generally required, that Grand Juries are seldom used in Presidential matters.

It is the job of the Jury to look at all the findings of the investigation and the Special Prosecutor, then determine guilt or innocence (like a judge).

The problem here is, Mueller is calling forth the Grand Jury with no evidence of the initial "crime" (collusion with the Russians), and plans to look into, and present, unrelated evidence. If allowed to continue (and he probably will be), Mueller will be able to offer anything he wants as "evidence" of anything he wants, and for as long as he needs to prove Trump is guilty of a crime.

This is basically like a police officer being allowed to follow you around, without probable cause, until you finally do step out of line. It's unethical, and at least in America, we're supposed to have laws against fishing expeditions like this.

All I can say is, if Mueller succeeds in his vendetta against Trump, you can count on two things...

The Regressives will pat themselves on the back, and claim what a good thing they accomplished.

And, democracy as we know it, will be officially dead.  There will no longer be any reason to vote, because the losing side will just throw tantrums until your vote is overturned. That's a dictatorship, or a fascist state. It's not democracy, and it's not America.

Tucker Carlson

I have a confession... One of the few news/commentary shows I truly enjoy watching, is the Tucker Carlson Tonight show on Fox News. (I know, I know... "U watch Faux Noos! U r so stoopid!" I get it, ha ha.)

I really enjoy watching Tucker's show, because he unflinchingly breaks down the news of the day in a concise, easy to understand manner, he clearly looks into every possible angle of the story (No half-assed, or single sided reporting.) and he openly invites people with opposing views to fairly debate their side. You rarely see this in the majority of shows out there, on any network. I even like that far away, blank eyed stare he gets, while he's listening to his guests, just before he lets them have it with pure logic (and a healthy degree of scorn and ridicule).

However, one of my few criticisms of his show, is that sometimes, he doesn't really go far enough with certain guests.

Now, I'm sure that few people at Fox, or among his other viewers, would ever accuse Mr. Carlson of holding back. I know he has developed quite a reputation for putting people in their place, when they really deserve it. But, more than once, I've found myself screaming at my television, begging Tucker to call some ideologue to the curb over blatant lies, or sheer stupidity.

I just wish, every now and then, Tucker would look his guest in the eye, and tell them they are a blatant liar, or that their argument is just pure stupidity.

I know he doesn't want to take it quite that far, because the whiney, lying crybabies who normally come on his show to debate him, will stop coming. Once word got out that liars will be outed without mercy, he won't be able to book anymore Regressive spin doctors anymore.

Still, I believe that this level of truth and realism is exactly what people are hungry for now. I know I'm certainly starving for it.

The N. Korea Threat

Lately, all eyes (except those still seeing Russians in every shadow) have been on North Korea and its megalomaniac, Napoleon-complexed leader, Kim Jong Un. This tiny little man-baby, with the bad haircut and the grandpa pajamas, has been thumping his chest and making a lot of noisy threats against the U.S. and our allies.

He's been testing inter-continental ballistic missiles,  capable of reaching America. He already has access to nuclear warheads, and it's only a matter of time before he figures out how to combine the two.

This has a lot of people worried, and rightfully so. If the evil little man-child gets his pudgy little fingers on real nukes, it's all over but the crying. He's just stupid, and insane enough to actually try and use them.

The problem is, no one is really sure how to deal with him. Diplomacy has always failed, because (like his father and grandfather), he's a notorious liar, and will promise or agree to anything, without any intention of honoring the deal.

We can escalate the situation  (our current position), by showing off our might each time he blusters. But, this approach doesn't seem to be working either.

It's obvious that ignoring him isn't an option. He'll only use our silence to build his arsenal and strengthen his forces. Plus, it will alienate us from our allies like South Korea and Japan.

Appealing to their ally, China, doesn't work either. The Chinese are either unwilling, or unable to reign him in.

Which only leaves two possible options (and one far-fetched, remote one) that I can see...

The far-fetched one is to drop a small nuke on the Presidential palace. Of course that would have consequences for North Korean citizens, and possibly South Korea.  But, it would send a clear message that we're not playing around.

The next would be to invade, and we all know how well that's worked for us in the recent past.

Which brings us to a surgical strike and assassination. Normally, thanks to President Jimmy Carter, this one would be illegal and off the table. However, we're talking about a madman with nuclear capabilities and a delusional grudge against the U.S. here. I think a couple of exceptions could be made. (Because, let's face it, the next threat after this will be Iran, thanks to Obama and John Kerry.)

I know, my suggestions may be a little out there, or not exactly what people want to hear right now. However, there's no denying that the threat is real, and growing every day. We need to do something, and soon. Every minute we wait, the harder it will become to stop him later.

If I Had My Own Country

If you were suddenly given your own tropical island, and the resources to develop it in any way you chose, what would your little paradise look like?

This was a hypothetical (obviously) question a friend of mine once posed to me, and I've been giving a lot of thought lately.

The first thing I think I would do, would be to establish a strong representative government (similar to the one the American Founders envisioned), and a military to protect it.

My nation's leaders would be democratically elected by all legal citizens, and limited in both salary and term length regardless of what position they held. Their powers would be clearly spelled out in our version of a Constitution, as well as the limits to their authority. While in office, their personal wealth and holdings would be frozen in a trust they could not access until their term was over (nothing could be deposited or withdrawn). They would be only allowed to make their salary, mothing extra. Professional lobbying and special interest groups would be strictly outlawed.

There would bean extremely limited welfare system, which would only provide the basic staples for survival. This system would only be available to legal citizens; with the elderly and the truly disabled (determined by government doctors, not private physicians) receiving priority. Able bodied people in need (including the addicted or poorly educated) would have a period of two (no more than six) months to find employment. After that, they are left to their own devices.

Immigration would be entirely merit based, and granted only to those with needed and valued skills. Citizenship would provide the full rights and freedoms of our nation, with only restricted rights given to legal noncitizens. Anyone overstaying a visa, or sneaking into the country would ne the subject of deportation immediately, without exception. Only children born of citizens are granted citizenship. Immigrants and potential citizens will be expected and required to assimilate into the national culture publicly.

Military service would be compulsory for all citizens, as well as a path to citizenship for immigrants.

Any power or authority not explicitly given to the government in the Constitution automatically belongs to the legal citizens. Any new changes or laws to the Constitution can only be enacted by a vote of the people. All laws must be written in clear and concise language, so that they are easily understood by all. Each proposed bill must contain only items relevant to that law (no pork or hidden agendas).

It will be the primary functions of the government to maintane a strong military, oversee all foreign policy and diplomatic matters, and settle domestic disputes judicially and through enforcement of the law. It will not be their place (or in their authority) to micromanage the rights and lives of citizens. They will not (for example) provide healthcare or education, these must be handled through private industry with only a minimum of government oversight to prevent monopolies or unsafe conditions.

As you can see, I've given this quite a bit of thought over the years. Of course, there's more, but time and space are limited.

And no, I don't ever expect a system like this would ever truly exist. Just as I'm sure that, if it did, someone would find a way to subvert it.

Making America Great Again...

President Trump just finished another impassioned speech in Youngstown Ohio to a large crowd of voters and supporters. Not surprisingly, the Regressive media is already on the attack, and trying to tear apart and overanalyze everything he said.

No sooner than the President left the stage, and I was already hearing whining about him tweeting too much, and holding too many of these "campaign style rallies".

To this complaint, I say "Good for him!"

The sad, simple truth is, Donald Trump is never going to get fair treatment in the media. You can deny this all day long, but the facts don't lie. The man has already passed at least 43 pieces of legislation, saved hundreds of thousands of jobs, protected American interests, renegotiated trade agreements in our favor, and consistently lowered the number of illegal aliens sneaking into our country, to name a few things. It's all public record, but do you hear any of this in the mainstream media?

Of course not.

In fact, spend any hour you choose watching CNN, MSNBC or even ABC, and you'll get at least fifty minutes of the latest  nothing-burger on the Russian witch hunt.

So, the President has to resort to Twitter and rallies to get his message and his side of the story to the American people.

Personally, I find his rallies a refreshing change of pace. It humanizes him, and gives a sense of returning the Presidency back to the people, rather ruling on high like some ivory-tower elitist (read: Barack Hussein Obama).

Donald Trump is just fulfilling what his predecessor promised (and blatantly lied about)... transparency. He's taking his agenda straight to the people.

Granted, some of his tweets are juvenile, and he lets the mouthpieces in the bogus media goad him more than I would like. But, at least he's on the record as actually trying to push his agenda forward. He's not just making empty promises, and expecting Congress to do the work, or pretending to be a dictator and doing everything through executive order.

Maybe, if we could get the RINOS and Democrats to pull their heads out of their collective backsides, and actually do their jobs, we can make America great again.

O.J. is Free

O.J. Simpson was granted parole this afternoon after serving only 9 years of a 30 year sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping.

Already, there have been opinions and commentaries on whether or not he deserves to be released. In nearly every discussion I've heard so far, the infamous murder of his ex wife, Nicole, has been brought up.

This may come as a surprise to some of you, but, I don't feel Ron and Nicole's murder should have any bearing on this case at all. It shouldn't have been considered during his sentencing for the robbery/kidnapping charge (it obviously did with the length of his sentence), and it shouldn't be considered for his parole. The reason is simple...

O.J. was acquitted on all counts of the murders of his ex wife and her boyfriend. Whether or not you or I think he's guilty is irrelevant, a jury already found him not guilty, and he can never be prosecuted for those killings ever again. By American law, he's innocent of the crime, and so, no matter whatever else he may be found guilty of, they can't hold the murders against him.

Regardless of whether you agree with this or not, or whatever your opinion of the man may be, the legal system says that he is entitled and deserving of parole.

The best thing O.J. could do, when he's released in October, is to deny all requests for interviews, buy a cabin way out in the woods somewhere, and drop completely out of society. Unfortunately, no one honestly believes he will.

Anyway, congrats O.J. Here's hoping that you manage to keep your nose clean this time around. Best of luck to you.
