Lately, all eyes (except those still seeing Russians in every shadow) have been on North Korea and its megalomaniac, Napoleon-complexed leader, Kim Jong Un. This tiny little man-baby, with the bad haircut and the grandpa pajamas, has been thumping his chest and making a lot of noisy threats against the U.S. and our allies.
He's been testing inter-continental ballistic missiles, capable of reaching America. He already has access to nuclear warheads, and it's only a matter of time before he figures out how to combine the two.
This has a lot of people worried, and rightfully so. If the evil little man-child gets his pudgy little fingers on real nukes, it's all over but the crying. He's just stupid, and insane enough to actually try and use them.
The problem is, no one is really sure how to deal with him. Diplomacy has always failed, because (like his father and grandfather), he's a notorious liar, and will promise or agree to anything, without any intention of honoring the deal.
We can escalate the situation (our current position), by showing off our might each time he blusters. But, this approach doesn't seem to be working either.
It's obvious that ignoring him isn't an option. He'll only use our silence to build his arsenal and strengthen his forces. Plus, it will alienate us from our allies like South Korea and Japan.
Appealing to their ally, China, doesn't work either. The Chinese are either unwilling, or unable to reign him in.
Which only leaves two possible options (and one far-fetched, remote one) that I can see...
The far-fetched one is to drop a small nuke on the Presidential palace. Of course that would have consequences for North Korean citizens, and possibly South Korea. But, it would send a clear message that we're not playing around.
The next would be to invade, and we all know how well that's worked for us in the recent past.
Which brings us to a surgical strike and assassination. Normally, thanks to President Jimmy Carter, this one would be illegal and off the table. However, we're talking about a madman with nuclear capabilities and a delusional grudge against the U.S. here. I think a couple of exceptions could be made. (Because, let's face it, the next threat after this will be Iran, thanks to Obama and John Kerry.)
I know, my suggestions may be a little out there, or not exactly what people want to hear right now. However, there's no denying that the threat is real, and growing every day. We need to do something, and soon. Every minute we wait, the harder it will become to stop him later.

If I Had My Own Country
If you were suddenly given your own tropical island, and the resources to develop it in any way you chose, what would your little paradise look like?
This was a hypothetical (obviously) question a friend of mine once posed to me, and I've been giving a lot of thought lately.
The first thing I think I would do, would be to establish a strong representative government (similar to the one the American Founders envisioned), and a military to protect it.
My nation's leaders would be democratically elected by all legal citizens, and limited in both salary and term length regardless of what position they held. Their powers would be clearly spelled out in our version of a Constitution, as well as the limits to their authority. While in office, their personal wealth and holdings would be frozen in a trust they could not access until their term was over (nothing could be deposited or withdrawn). They would be only allowed to make their salary, mothing extra. Professional lobbying and special interest groups would be strictly outlawed.
There would bean extremely limited welfare system, which would only provide the basic staples for survival. This system would only be available to legal citizens; with the elderly and the truly disabled (determined by government doctors, not private physicians) receiving priority. Able bodied people in need (including the addicted or poorly educated) would have a period of two (no more than six) months to find employment. After that, they are left to their own devices.
Immigration would be entirely merit based, and granted only to those with needed and valued skills. Citizenship would provide the full rights and freedoms of our nation, with only restricted rights given to legal noncitizens. Anyone overstaying a visa, or sneaking into the country would ne the subject of deportation immediately, without exception. Only children born of citizens are granted citizenship. Immigrants and potential citizens will be expected and required to assimilate into the national culture publicly.
Military service would be compulsory for all citizens, as well as a path to citizenship for immigrants.
Any power or authority not explicitly given to the government in the Constitution automatically belongs to the legal citizens. Any new changes or laws to the Constitution can only be enacted by a vote of the people. All laws must be written in clear and concise language, so that they are easily understood by all. Each proposed bill must contain only items relevant to that law (no pork or hidden agendas).
It will be the primary functions of the government to maintane a strong military, oversee all foreign policy and diplomatic matters, and settle domestic disputes judicially and through enforcement of the law. It will not be their place (or in their authority) to micromanage the rights and lives of citizens. They will not (for example) provide healthcare or education, these must be handled through private industry with only a minimum of government oversight to prevent monopolies or unsafe conditions.
As you can see, I've given this quite a bit of thought over the years. Of course, there's more, but time and space are limited.
And no, I don't ever expect a system like this would ever truly exist. Just as I'm sure that, if it did, someone would find a way to subvert it.

Making America Great Again...
President Trump just finished another impassioned speech in Youngstown Ohio to a large crowd of voters and supporters. Not surprisingly, the Regressive media is already on the attack, and trying to tear apart and overanalyze everything he said.
No sooner than the President left the stage, and I was already hearing whining about him tweeting too much, and holding too many of these "campaign style rallies".
To this complaint, I say "Good for him!"
The sad, simple truth is, Donald Trump is never going to get fair treatment in the media. You can deny this all day long, but the facts don't lie. The man has already passed at least 43 pieces of legislation, saved hundreds of thousands of jobs, protected American interests, renegotiated trade agreements in our favor, and consistently lowered the number of illegal aliens sneaking into our country, to name a few things. It's all public record, but do you hear any of this in the mainstream media?
Of course not.
In fact, spend any hour you choose watching CNN, MSNBC or even ABC, and you'll get at least fifty minutes of the latest nothing-burger on the Russian witch hunt.
So, the President has to resort to Twitter and rallies to get his message and his side of the story to the American people.
Personally, I find his rallies a refreshing change of pace. It humanizes him, and gives a sense of returning the Presidency back to the people, rather ruling on high like some ivory-tower elitist (read: Barack Hussein Obama).
Donald Trump is just fulfilling what his predecessor promised (and blatantly lied about)... transparency. He's taking his agenda straight to the people.
Granted, some of his tweets are juvenile, and he lets the mouthpieces in the bogus media goad him more than I would like. But, at least he's on the record as actually trying to push his agenda forward. He's not just making empty promises, and expecting Congress to do the work, or pretending to be a dictator and doing everything through executive order.
Maybe, if we could get the RINOS and Democrats to pull their heads out of their collective backsides, and actually do their jobs, we can make America great again.

O.J. is Free
O.J. Simpson was granted parole this afternoon after serving only 9 years of a 30 year sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping.
Already, there have been opinions and commentaries on whether or not he deserves to be released. In nearly every discussion I've heard so far, the infamous murder of his ex wife, Nicole, has been brought up.
This may come as a surprise to some of you, but, I don't feel Ron and Nicole's murder should have any bearing on this case at all. It shouldn't have been considered during his sentencing for the robbery/kidnapping charge (it obviously did with the length of his sentence), and it shouldn't be considered for his parole. The reason is simple...
O.J. was acquitted on all counts of the murders of his ex wife and her boyfriend. Whether or not you or I think he's guilty is irrelevant, a jury already found him not guilty, and he can never be prosecuted for those killings ever again. By American law, he's innocent of the crime, and so, no matter whatever else he may be found guilty of, they can't hold the murders against him.
Regardless of whether you agree with this or not, or whatever your opinion of the man may be, the legal system says that he is entitled and deserving of parole.
The best thing O.J. could do, when he's released in October, is to deny all requests for interviews, buy a cabin way out in the woods somewhere, and drop completely out of society. Unfortunately, no one honestly believes he will.
Anyway, congrats O.J. Here's hoping that you manage to keep your nose clean this time around. Best of luck to you.

Words You Really Must Know (Part 1)
Ladies and gentlemen. It's time for a quick vocabulary lesson over some extremely misused words and phrases.
Our first word is Fascist n.- A dictator, or authoritarian figure, that exhalts one race or nationality over all others, through laws or force.
A freely elected President in a representative republic (like the United States) is not, and cannot be a true fascist. Banning people from illegally entering your country, or those who mean to do harm to your country, is not a form of fascism. Neither is taking, or having, justifiable pride in where you're from.
Most of the morons in the cowardly, anti-Trump ANTIFA movement, can't even spell the word "fascist", nevermind define it. They are generally the ones causing all the violence, and trying to force others into their narrow minded, bigoted beliefs.
Okay, the next word is: Treason n.- The crime of attempting to overthrow, or otherwise undermine, the sovereignty of a nation to which one owes allegiance.
I'll admit, this one's a bit trickier to explain, but bear with me...
In the U.S., it is required that the person(s) leveling allegations of a crime, be able to present evidence of said crime. In other words, if you accuse someone, the burden of proof is on you, and you must have evidence to show they are guilty. We are an "innocent, until proven guilty" society, where we don't just take people's word that someone is engaged in criminal activity. We need hardcore, solid evidence.
To prove that our current President is a traitor, you must be able to show a deliberate and conscious attempt to overthrow, or undermine our government. Simply meeting with a Russian with no formal ties to the Kremlin isn't proof. (If it were, anyone with Russian ancestry, or that has ever spoken to a Russian would be a traitor, including every politician since FDR.) Since there is no evidence that Vladimir Putin's regime had any effect on our election at all, or that Trump was working with him in any way, no one can honestly call Trump a traitor.
And, given his track record of trying to strengthen and rebuild America (after a very damaging eight years), one can hardly say that he's undermining our system. Therefore, given the current lack of any real proof, we have to conclude that President Trump is not guilty of treason.
One more word: Collusion n.- A secret, or illegal cooperation, or conspiracy to cheat, or deceive others.
Again, there is absolutely no evidence that President Trump worked in any way to change, or effect the results of the election. There are no videos, recordings, emails or documents of any sort. There isn't even any direct eye witness accounts. All we have are the words of highly suspect and extremely biased individuals, who openly show their contempt for Trump and their ideological rivals. In America, that's not proof, nor is it nearly good enough to convict or impeach a person on.
Well, there you have it, three words I really wish everyone would learn before they go around casually tossing them about.
I genuinely hope this entry helped, and someone out there, learned something.

The End of American "Democracy"
DISCLAIMER: This will be one of my more angrier, "take no prisoners" posts. If you're easily offended, or a snowflake, Regressive Kool-aid drinker, I suggest you move on to another post or blog now...
Okay, it's been coming for awhile now, and now it's finally here... I've just about reached my limit.
I have seriously had enough of this whole "Russian Collusion" B.S. Just when I think this story can't possibly get anymore paranoid and stupid, the Regressives work overtime to prove me wrong.
By now, most of you know the ins and outs of this tiresome little story. For those who don't, here's the summary so far...
Donald Trump won the Presidential election last November, the Regressives can't stand it, and are screaming (without any proof at all) that he somehow worked with the Russians to rig the election. Now, they are holding kangaroo hearings, and impuning anyone in Trump's inner circle (including his own children) with claims of treason. And, it's painfully clear that they're not going to stop, until they manage to drive him out of office (and possibly into prison, for daring to beat their "Chosen One" Hillary).
In order to believe their wild fantasies about the Russians helping Trump, you would first have to believe that they (the Russians) feared a Clinton victory.
This is absurd, due to the simple (and historically proven) fact that they had absolutely no fear of Obama, or anyone in his administration. Remember the "Things red line" in Syria? Or, Russia's invasion of the Ukraine? How about Obama's hot-mic declaration to the Russian Prime Minister that he'd "have more flexibility" after he was reelected? Obama was Putin's lapdog (that's a verifiable fact), and Clinton often pledged to continue his legacy.
So, ask yourself... If you were Vladimir Putin, who would you rather have in control of the United States? Another simpering, feckless coward, with no will to stand up to you? Or, an unpredictable, tough talking, loose cannon with a reputation for being shrewd and outspoken? I know who I'd choose as an adversary.
This madness has reached levels never before seen in hysteria and paranoia. Trump's opponents are so afraid of the man, and what he's trying to accomplish, that they're desperate to remove him from office at all cost.
Most haven't even considered the line of succession, which means they'd have to get rid of six more people before the Democrats could even remotely claim the Presidency.
If, however, they do manage to somehow force the President out, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that America, as we know it, is done.
There will no longer be any point in holding elections, or even campaigning. The Leftist elite will simply choose our ruler (might as well not even call it a President anymore) for us. Because, they obviously know better than all of us "baskets of deplorables" that are "clinging to their God and guns".
If they succeed in impeaching Trump, it will set a president that will never be undone, and mean the death of our country. Any time We the People elect someone they don't like, they'll continue to whine and throw tantrums, until that person is removed from office.
It's sick and disgusting. And, it sure as hell isn't the kind of nation I would ever want to live in.

For the Good of the Nation
Just when you think a story cannot possibly get any dumber, or more absurd... here comes our media.
The "BIG" story currently in the "news" is (of course) a continuation of the dead-horse, witch hunt known as the "Russian Collusion" scandal. Only now it's taking a frightening and dangerous turn toward treason accusations against the President's son, Donald Trump JR.
The long, drawn out and pathetic story now, is that a British publicist has come forward to claim he arranged a meeting with Trump JR. and a Russian lawyer, under the pretense that the lawyer had dirt on Hillary Clinton. JR. attended the meeting, only to find that the lawyer had no info (sounds like a set up to me), and wanted to discuss adoption rights.
Trump Junior admitted the meeting took place, and even disclosed his emails concerning it. He says the meeting was such a waste of time, he never even told his father about it.
Now, the Regressives are claiming it "proves" collusion (it doesn't).
The publicist is also claiming the entire Trump family had tried to get a development deal in Moscow to build a Trump tower, back in 2014. The deal (which was legal, open and public) fell through when the Russian economy collapsed, and the Trumps pulled the plug when Obama imposed sanctions on Russia.
The Left is now crying "traitors" over the matter (which is punishable by death). The problem is, as usual, they have absolutely no proof of a crime here. Literally thousands of American businesses, and business people have done business with Russia since Bill Clinton's terms as President, including Bill and Hillary themselves.
This really has gone too far already. It needs to stop, one way or the other, immediately. Either present your evidence and press charges, or drop the whole damned mess, before someone gets hurt.
Calling someone a traitor is a serious charge, which carries extremely serious consequences. So, the time is overdue to either put up, or shut up.
If you can prove all of the claims against our President (which I highly doubt), then I'm all for arresting and impeaching him. However, if you don't present actual evidence soon, I believe you are the one who needs to be arrested for treason, and trying to subvert the U.S. government.
Either way, the stupidity needs to end now, for the good of the nation.
The "BIG" story currently in the "news" is (of course) a continuation of the dead-horse, witch hunt known as the "Russian Collusion" scandal. Only now it's taking a frightening and dangerous turn toward treason accusations against the President's son, Donald Trump JR.
The long, drawn out and pathetic story now, is that a British publicist has come forward to claim he arranged a meeting with Trump JR. and a Russian lawyer, under the pretense that the lawyer had dirt on Hillary Clinton. JR. attended the meeting, only to find that the lawyer had no info (sounds like a set up to me), and wanted to discuss adoption rights.
Trump Junior admitted the meeting took place, and even disclosed his emails concerning it. He says the meeting was such a waste of time, he never even told his father about it.
Now, the Regressives are claiming it "proves" collusion (it doesn't).
The publicist is also claiming the entire Trump family had tried to get a development deal in Moscow to build a Trump tower, back in 2014. The deal (which was legal, open and public) fell through when the Russian economy collapsed, and the Trumps pulled the plug when Obama imposed sanctions on Russia.
The Left is now crying "traitors" over the matter (which is punishable by death). The problem is, as usual, they have absolutely no proof of a crime here. Literally thousands of American businesses, and business people have done business with Russia since Bill Clinton's terms as President, including Bill and Hillary themselves.
This really has gone too far already. It needs to stop, one way or the other, immediately. Either present your evidence and press charges, or drop the whole damned mess, before someone gets hurt.
Calling someone a traitor is a serious charge, which carries extremely serious consequences. So, the time is overdue to either put up, or shut up.
If you can prove all of the claims against our President (which I highly doubt), then I'm all for arresting and impeaching him. However, if you don't present actual evidence soon, I believe you are the one who needs to be arrested for treason, and trying to subvert the U.S. government.
Either way, the stupidity needs to end now, for the good of the nation.
Help For Charlie...
In England, there is a baby named Charlie Gard, with a rare genetic disorder that has left him unable to breathe on his own. His parents are fighting to get their son access to experimental treatments here in the United States.
The problem is, the treatments only stand a one-in-ten chance of actually helping him, and England has Socialized medicine. This means politicians and a centralized insurance agency have more say in a patient's treatment than their own doctors do. Bottom line... the government decides who gets what treatment, and who lives or dies.
And, they decided that Charlie should die.
The only thing that has saved him so far, is his parents have refused to accept their decision quietly, and have managed to bring their case to the world. If it weren't for people like President Trump calling attention to their plight, the child would already be dead.
The government run hospital, currently treating little Charlie, is citing the slim chance the experts have given the procedure (one-in-ten chance), as being "not feasible", and only prolonging the boy's misery.
Call me "too American" in my views, but since when is that anyone's call except the parent's? Who are they to say this child shouldn't have a chance (no matter how slight) to live? If it were any of their kids (God forbid), tell me they wouldn't do everything within their power, and fight like hell to save them.
That's the problem with allowing the government to control healthcare, and why we need to be fighting to get ours back from Washington. Only an absolute moron, or completely corrupt official, can look at what's happening to this poor baby, and still demand "single payer" or "universal" healthcare.
I understand wanting to assure access to "quality" medicine for even the poorest among us. However, the truth is, they won't get it with total government involvement. We're basicly taking the most inept, and corrupt people in our society, and handing them absolute power and control over our lives, and our family's lives.
Whether or not this treatment can really help Charlie (and I pray it does) isn't really the issue here. It's all about control, and the power to decide our own destinies for ourselves.

The Fourth of July
Happy birthday America!
This Tuesday (July 4th), marks 241 years, since a ragged group of colonists decided to stand up, and take their lives in their own hands. Against impossible odds, and the most powerful empire the world had seen up to that point, they fought for their freedom and won.
America was born from fire and blood, to be the "shining beacon of liberty and justice". Our people have always had a fiercely independent spirit, and a great sense of pride in who we are, and what we can accomplish.
We don't always get it right (no country on Earth ever has), but we have always found a way to make it work, and learn from our mistakes.
America was founded, and has held on to the belief that a person is (and always should be) in charge of their own destiny, and that people should be free to govern themselves, with very little interference from politicians and rulers. This is why ideologies and concepts like Socialism fly in the face of the average citizen.
Until recently in our history, the thought of a large, powerful government micto-managing our lives, was not only a nightmare, but a grave insult.
Two hundred forty-one years ago, we fought against a king and tyrannical government that tried to dictate how we live our lives. We stood against the common belief of the time, that our rights and freedoms came from, and were granted by our leaders. We were not/are not servants or subjects. We're citizens, and our freely elected leaders are "public servants" who are supposed to be subject to us (We the People).
Abraham Lincoln wasn't just making small talk, when he said "A government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth." He was talking about one of the very core foundations of our way of life, and our great nation.
Somehow, we are trying hard to forget this important historical fact now. There is a growing part of our population that actually seems to resent our freedoms, and believes the answers to all our problems (which were created by politicians) is more government.
I'm tired of hearing how We're really "not free" by the very same people calling for more government intervention in our lives. I'm sick of people claiming to want to "level the playing field" and "spread the wealth" through historically proven wealth destroying Socialism. And, I'm done with able-bodied citizens living off government hand outs and entitlements, while our leaders pat themselves on the back and say how "wonderful" it is those programs exist.
I still love this country very deeply, and I still believe it's worth fighting for. I keep the hope that we can turn things around, back to how they were supposed to be.
However, this is never going to happen, until we start using a little common sense, and remembering what made us truly great in the first place.
We don't need to be like any other country out there, because we aren't like any other country out there. We are America. We don't follow, we lead. It's who we are, and what we've always done. That's who we are.
And, if we don't start remembering this, it's not an exaggeration to say that we're doomed as a nation, and the world will follow shortly thereafter.

The "War on the Media"
Lately, there's been a lot of whimpering and whining in the media about President Trump's "war on the press".
Some complain that he's ignoring questions from certain Liberal hacks like CNN and the New York Times at press briefings, or making fun of them and calling them "fake news".
What do you expect, when everything they report is a negative smear against him? They willfully and maliciously ignore anything good that he accomplishes in office. They turn every press conference into a shouting match, and refuse to allow other media to ask their questions, even when called upon. They've frequently engaged in more than their fair share of name calling directed at him. And worst of all, they've constantly had to retract numerous false reports lately (the ones they could no longer get away with pushing as "true").
I mean, seriously. Given their recent track record, it's a sad day for CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Times, when you can find more accurate reporting in TMZ, the National Enquirer, or Huffington Post.
Like a lot of average Americans out there, I'm not thrilled with the President tweeting out his every uncensored thought. I really wish, he would tone it down, and stop giving idiots like the "Morning Joe" ammo.
However, I can understand why he feels the need. It's the only certain way to get his message to a large number of citizens. And, when he's attacked, he feels the need to strike back (one of the qualities I expect in a leader).
The press waged this war against him first, and now they're upset, because he's better at it than they are.
Yes, it may be juvenile, and beneath the office of the President of the United States, but no more than the Trump Derangement Syndrome we're seeing in the media is beneath true journalism.
The man can't get a fair shake on any of the networks. Even on Fox (where he's mostly liked), you have pseudo-intellectuals like Shepard Smith, and committed anti-Trumpers like Chris Wallace, chomping at the bit to tear him down. Their bias is so blatant, they can barely keep it hidden (and often fail), as they gleefully regurgitate the latest scandal out of the White House.
Trump's not perfect, and certainly has a lot of flaws. However, he's nowhere near the inept demon most of the media tries to make him out to be either. When viewed logicly and rationally, without partisanship or ego, most of his proposals are sound, and would genuinely help this country and its citizens.
But, when you're so bent on only seeing the bad, that's all you're ever going to see.
It's no surprise that the website Project Veritas has videos exposing CNN's CEO, Jeff Zucker, admitting that he knows the Russian Collusion stories are bogus, but they get ratings, so they'll continue. This is what our news media has become now days. It's no longer a place to get factual, unbiased information, but rather an unhealthy dose of poorly informed opinions and indoctrination.
I freely admit that I'm no journalist, and that this blog is merely my humble opinion on the issues. Perhaps, if the networks would finally do the same, people would be better equipped to separate the news from the b.s. Just sayin'...

How to be a Liberal
Hey! I've got a few great ideas!
Any time someone is elected we don't agree with, let's run up a bunch of phoney charges against them we can't prove! We can spread a ton of fake rumors and "news" stories about them, while overreacting to every little flaw! And then, try to impeach them with no evidence they violated any laws. It's not like America actually elects their leaders, or anything.
While we're at it, why don't we send our kids to unionized, tax-payer funded public schools, where all they really learn is indoctrination, and useless, skewed "facts"? If we're really lucky, we can spend fortune to send them to a university or college, where they learn we're evil morons, they're always right, and the world will give them a "safe space" to cry, when someone has a different opinion from theirs. The really lucky ones will graduate with a Liberal Arts degree (or the slightly more useful... underwater basket weaving degree), tens of thousands in debt they can never repay, and a screwed up way of viewing the world around them, as they're overpaying for nasty lattes at the mega franchise shop on every corner (you know the one).
Just for laughs, how about we "help" the poor and minorities by pushing the narrative that they're victims, that they can't do any better in life, and it's rich white people's fault? We'll earn their votes by handing out entitlements (food stamps, cell phones, health insurance... ect.), and discouraging hard work, self reliance, traditional families, and human dignity. We'll elevate and celebrate violent gang members, drug dealers and other criminals, while tearing down the police. Then, we can stir the pots of racism and class warfare, all the while, still claiming to be the victims.
Let's express fake moral outrage over climate change, how animals are treated, and human rights violations, while ignoring any true violations. We'll hire spoiled celebrities and former Vice Presidents to fly all over the world in polluting private jets, just to tell you SUVs are bad for the environment. Or, have multi-million dollar sports figures stage phoney protests over how "mistreated" they are, during our National Anthem, while no one says a word over Christians being beheaded for their beliefs overseas. We can even get some of our leaders to fake outrage over enforcing our immigration laws and protecting our borders, in a time when illegal aliens (yes, I used the term. No, I'm not sorry.) are killing citizens and taking jobs, and terrorist attacks are on the rise.
And, if you think any of this is insane (or just incredibly stupid), you're a hateful, homophobic, anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, sexist, racist pig. Your opinion doesn't matter, because we'll just shout over it, protest against your right to speak, riot, threaten violence, mock you openly, then retire to our "safe space" and plug our ears with our fingers. And, if you're against anything I've said here, while running for office, we'll find the worst "above the law" criminal scum we can find to run against you. And, when our side doesn't win, we'll stamp our feet, hold our breath, and cry foul. We'll have our media stooges smear you, and expose your every flaw, while praising people who call for your death.
Then, we'll all sit back and wonder why the country is going to hell, and nothing makes any sense anymore.
